Vallabhacharya was an Indian Telugu philosopher who founded the Krishna-centered Pushti sect of Vaishnavism in the Braj region of India. Shri Vallabhacharya was an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna. He worshipped Shrinathji form of Lord Krishna. He is also known as Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya. Vallabhacharya Jayanti is observed basically on Varudhini Ekadashi which occurs in the Krishna Paksha of Vaishakh month according to the North Indian calendar and Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month according to Tamil calendar.
