Ashwin Purnima Vrat is observed on the full moon day of the Ashwina month. This month is the 7th month in the Hindu calendar and the months of October - November in Gregorian calendar. It is also known by the name of Raas Purnima. on this day Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped in the night. Ashwin Purnima is also known as Sharad Purnima, Kojagari Purnima and Kuanr Purnima. It is considered to be the fast of Kogajar, as well as it is also called Kaumudi fast.
