Vijayadashami is a major Hindu festival celebrated at the end of Navratri every year. It is celebrated on the tenth day of the Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month, which typically falls in the Gregorian months of September and October. Vijayadashami marks the end of Durga Puja, remembering goddess Durga's victory over the buffalo demon Mahishasura to restore and protect dharma. It is also called ' Dussehra '. Everyone celebrates with great reverence. Vijayadashami is related to 'Shakti'. Just as Saraswati is worshiped for knowledge, similarly Durga is worshiped for power.
