Kali Puja is celebrated as a religious ritual in Bengal. Kali Puja, also known as Shyama Puja or Mahanisha Puja. Kali Puja is a festival, originating from the Indian subcontinent, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali. Kali Puja is celebrated on the new moon day of Hindu Kartik Month which falls in between October and November month. This puja is performed on the day of Diwali in Bengal, while Lakshmi Pujan is performed on Diwali in North India. Kali Devi is considered as another form of Goddess Durga. He took the form of Kali to kill many demons and perform other important roles. People celebrate the Kali Puja by wearing new clothes and bursting crackers and during this time the whole country glows like a candle as people decorate their houses and other places with lights and candles.
