Tulasi Vivah is the ceremonial marriage of the Tulsi (holy basil) plant to the Hindu god Shaligram or Vishnu or to his avatar, Sri Krishna. Tulsi Vivah or the marriage of Tulsi with Lord Vishnu is an interesting ceremony that is performed on Prabodhini Ekadashi the eleventh day of Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the moon) or the twelfth day during the month of Karthika (November - December). It is also observed on Utthana Ekadashi or on Kartik Purnima day. Tulsi Vivaah marks the end of the monsoon season and the start of the Hindu wedding season. Every Hindu house has always a lamp or Diya lit near the Tulsi plant in front of their main door especially in the evening. On this day tulsi marriage the subtle frequencies of Shrivishnu and Goddess LakshmÄĢ arrive in the Universe from the universal vacuum.
