Females worship Lord Krishna before cows and apply tilak on the forehead of the cows. The festival of Gopashtami is celebrated on Kartik Shukla Paksha Ashtami. On this day Lord Shri Krishna started Gau Charan Leela for which Gau Mata is served. On this day devotees visit the gosala, bathe and clean the cows and the gosala. Cows are decorated with cloth and jewellery before offering special ritual by the devotees.
