A Brahmin family lived in a village. Chandrasen, a Brahmin's boy, was of evil instinct. Even when he grew up, there was no difference in his lowly tendency, rather he grew day by day. He got into bad company and got involved in stealing and gambling and so on. Chandrasen's mother, despite being aware of the son's antics, did not tell her husband anything. She used to cover all her faults. The effect was that Chandrasen kept drowning in the trough of Kusangati. One day when a Brahmin was returning from his Yajman's house by worshiping him, he found two boys fighting for a gold ring on their way. One was saying that I've won this ring from Chandrasen. The second argument was that I've won the ring. After seeing all this, the Brahmin became very sad. He understood the 2 boys and took the ring.
On coming home, the Brahmin asked his wife about Chandrasen. The Brahmin didn't even want to stay for a moment in a home where the son of a gambler-thief is living and his mother all the time covers the qualities. Chandrasen was going to steal something from his home that friends expressed all his displeasure at him. He escaped backwards. Kirtan was happening near a temple on the way.
On coming home, the Brahmin requested his spouse about Chandrasen. In response, he stated, "Was he playing here right now?" While the reality was that Chandrasen had not come home for the last 5 days. The Brahmin didn't even want to stay for a moment in a house where the son of a gambler-thief is living and his mother all the time covers the qualities.
