Soil and water are reaching Ayodhya from all the main religious places of the country, places of national significance, and holy rivers for the construction of Ram mandir.
Ayodhya has come from more than 2000 pilgrimage centers to worship holy soil and holy water land from more than 100 rivers. Soil, water, and other items have reached Ayodhya from the shrines of all pilgrimages and sacrificial heroes including the birthplace of Shri Badrinath Dham, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's Fort Raigad, Sri Ranganathaswamy mandir, Tamil Nadu, Sri Mahakaleshwar mandir, Hutatma Chandrashekhar Azad and Balidani Birsa Munda.
What is the Ram Mandir issue?
Talking about history, it is believed that within the year 1528, a mosque was in-built Ayodhya at a place which Hindus consider to be the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram. The mosque is said to have been built by Mir Baqi, the commander of the Mughal emperor Babur, in honor of Babur, due to which it came to be known as Babri Masjid.Year 1853: Hindus alleged that the mosque was built by demolishing Lord Rama mandir.
Year 1885: Ayodhya case reached court for the first time. Mahant Raghubar Das filed an appeal in the Faizabad court for permission to build a Ram Mandir adjoining the Babri Masjid.
23 December 1949: Statues of Lord Rama have been found in this disputed mosque. Hindus stated that Lord Rama appeared, whereas Muslims alleged that somebody had placed idols right here.
16 January 1950: Gopal Singh Visharad filed an appeal in the Faizabad court in search of special permission to worship Ramlala. He also demanded a judicial ban on removing the idol from there.
5 December 1950: Mahant Paramahamsa Ramchandra Das sues to proceed Hindu prayers and hold Ramamurthy in Babri Masjid. The mosque was named 'Dharka'.
17 December 1959: Nirmohi Akhara records data swimsuit for the switch of the disputed site.
18 December 1961: Uttar Pradesh Sunni Waqf Board sues Babri Masjid for possession.
25 September 1990: BJP President LK Advani took a rath yatra from Somnath in Gujarat to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. This was followed by communal riots in many locations.
November 1990: BJP President Lal Krishna Advani is arrested in Samastipur, Bihar. The BJP withdrew assist to the then Prime Minister VP Singh's government. Singh formed the government with the assist of left organizations and the BJP. VP Singh resigned after BJP withdrew its support.
October 1991: Kalyan Singh authorities of Uttar Pradesh took over 2.77 acres of land around Babri Masjid.
December 6, 1992: Thousands of kar sevaks reached Ayodhya and demolished the Babri structure, which was followed by communal riots. A brief Ram mandir was built in haste. Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao promised to rebuild the mosque.

April 2002: A three-judge bench begins listening to on the ownership of the disputed site in Ayodhya.
March-August 2003: Archaeological Survey of India excavated in Ayodhya on the directions of Allahabad High Court. The Archaeological Survey of India claimed that there was evidence of the stays of the mandir below the mosque. There were totally different opinions among Muslims about this.
September 28, 2010: The Supreme Court clears the way for the decision, dismissing the petition preventing the Allahabad High Courtroom from awarding the verdict in the disputed case.
September 30, 2010: Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court provides historic verdict. Under this, the disputed land was divided into three parts. Part of it was found in the Ram mandir, another within the Sunni Waqf Board and the third in the Nirmohi Akhara.
May 9, 2011: Supreme Court stays the Allahabad High Court verdict.
April 19, 2017: Supreme Court orders legal cases against seven leaders, including LK Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti, who allegedly instigated Babri Masjid to demolish them.
Modi laid the foundation stone
On Wednesday Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed Bhumi Pujan to start construction. Bhumi Poojan was completed today for the construction of Ram Janmabhumi Mandir in Ayodhya. This Bhumi Poojan was completed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Throughout this time 9 foundation stones were laid for the Ram mandir. Before the Bhumi Pujan program, PM Modi performed pooja and darshan in Hanumangarhi. After this, he reached Shri Ram Janmabhumi. There PM Modi worshiped and visited Lord Shri Ram Lala Virajaman and planted a family tree. After this, the Bhumi Poojan of the mandir was completed.There were four other people with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the stage for Ram mandir Bhumi Pujan. These people are RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandi Ben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Mahant Nritya Gopaldas. Salil Singhal from Ashok Singhal's family will be the major judge in the Bhumi Pujan.
