TTD chairman UV Subba Reddy stated that the temple administration has suspended the system of categorizing VIP darshan in three categories with immediate effect. Subba Reddy advised reporters that the authorities have been ordered to find suitable alternatives.It's believed that there may be another plan to create a room for ordinary devotees waiting in long queues of TTD on VIP darshan. There could also be thoughts on implementing the Archana Anantara Darshan Scheme
A few years ago, since the system of three classes of VIP darshan has been applied in the temple, VIP devotees have expressed their satisfaction relating to this and have been demanding Darshan only under List 1.
A few years later, the temple administration was accused of irregularities in issuing VIP tickets. Subba Reddy said that TTD may also consider re-enacting the 'Archana Anantara Darshan'. This scheme was quite popular among the devotees however stopped it a few decade ago.
TTD executive officer Anil Kumar Singhal stated, 'We have now agreed in principle to ban the classification of VIP philosophy beneath three categories. The Special Officer of TTD has been requested to think about modalities for the new VIP Darshan system.
