Ramgiri Shaktipeeth
Ramgiri Shaktipeeth is considered one of the 51 Shaktipeeths famous in Hinduism. This Shaktipeeth is situated in Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh state. According to the Puranas in Hinduism, wherever the body parts or ornaments of the goddess Sati fell, there they became Shaktipeeth. Ramgiri Shaktipeeth Mythology
According to mythology, Goddess Sati sacrificed her life within the sacrificial fire performed by her father Dakshevara, when Lord Shankar was circling all the universe carrying the dead body of Goddess Sati, during this time, Lord Vishnu, with his Sudarshan Chakra, sati's body. Was divided into 51 parts, of which Sati's 'right breast' fell at this place.Many festivals are celebrated in Ramgiri ShaktiPeeth especially on the festival of Durga Puja and Navratri special worship is organized.
