Jaya Parvati fast story
According to the legend, once upon a time there lived a worthy Brahmin named Vaman in the city of Koudinya. His wife’s name was Satya. There was no shortage of any kind in his house, but he was very sad due to not having children.
One day Narada ji came to his house. He served Narada well and asked for a solution to his problem. Then Narada told them that under the Bilva tree in the southern part of the forest outside your city, Lord Shiva is enthroned in the form of Goddess Parvati. Worshiping them will definitely fulfill your wishes.
The Brahmin couple, after finding that Shivling, worshiped him with his law and order. Thus the order of worship continued and five years passed. One day while he was plucking flowers for a Brahmin worship, then he was bitten by a snake and he fell there in the forest itself.
When the Brahmin did not return home for long, his wife came to find him. Seeing her husband in this condition, she started crying and remembered the forest god and mother Parvati.
Hearing the call of Brahmani, the forest god and mother Parvati came and put the nectar in the mouth of the Brahmin, so the Brahmin got up. The Brahmin couple worshiped Mother Parvati. Mata Parvati was pleased with his worship and asked him to ask for a bride. Then both of them expressed a desire to have children. Mata Parvati told him to fast Vijaya Parvati.
On the day of Ashadh Shukla Trayodashi, that Brahmin couple lawfully performed this fast of Mata Parvati, from which they got a son. Those who fast on this day receive the Son Ratna and their unbroken good fortune also remains.
